A delicious chowder loaded with mushrooms. It comes with a vegetable blend, pasta, rice and seasoning packet. So easy and delicious! Makes approximately 7-8 (1 cup) servings.

What you will need:

6 Cups Water

3 Tbsp. Butter

3 Tbsp. Flour

1/2 Cup Sherry

2 Cups Milk (use Half & Half or Cream for richer flavor)



Preparation:

-To soup pot, add water and contents of seasoning pack, bringing it to a boil. Stir in mushrooms, pasta, rice and vegetable mixture, lower heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

-Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Gradually add flour, whisking continuously until smooth. Add sherry and blend well.

-As chowder finishes cooking, stir in butter and flour mixture. Add milk, heating thoroughly but DO NOT BOIL.

-If you choose to: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

-For the increasing number of consumers concerned about their sodium intake, we have reduced the salt in our seasoning pack. Please salt to taste.
